MY STORY ON HOW I STARTED THE TRAVEL BADDIE

Hello beautiful ladies! My name is Marilyn Escalona, I am a passionate traveler whose life transformed when I  began exploring the world solo in 2023 ( at age 33) What started as a step into the unknown quickly became a powerful journey of courage, self-discovery, and freedom. Since then, I have visited 16 countries and counting, with half of those adventures experienced entirely on my own.

In the beginning, fear was her constant companion. Traveling alone meant facing unfamiliar places, cultures, and challenges without the safety net of familiarity. Yet instead of letting fear stop her, I  chose to walk through it. With every flight boarded, every foreign street navigated, and every conversation with strangers, my confidence grew. I discovered that fear is not a barrier but a doorway — one that leads to growth, resilience, and unforgettable experiences.

Through solo travel, I have embraced ways of living and seeing the world that many people only dream about. I  have learned to trust myself , adapt quickly, and find beauty in the unexpected. Each destination has added a new layer to my story — from breathtaking landscapes to meaningful human connections that transcend language and borders.

Today, travel is no longer just a hobby for me it is part of who I am. My journey reflects a belief that life expands when you step beyond comfort zones. By choosing courage over certainty, I continue to collect moments that are rare, unique, and deeply transformative — experiences that shape not only I have been, but who I am becoming.

My story is still unfolding, one country at a time, proving that the world belongs to those brave enough to explore it — even when they begin with fear.
